Content Policy
Pages are meant to make someone's day. To protect Recipients and to comply with the law and with our AI provider's usage policy, you may not create a Page that:
- Harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks, intimidates or humiliates anyone, or is sent to someone who has asked you not to contact them.
- Contains hate speech or attacks a person or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or similar characteristics.
- Contains sexually explicit material, or sexual content involving anyone under 18. Romantic and affectionate content between adults is welcome.
- Involves a minor in any sexualised, degrading or endangering way, or discloses a minor's personal details beyond what is needed for an innocent greeting (first name, age, occasion).
- Uses the name, details or photo of a person who could reasonably object to appearing on the Page, or a photo you do not have the right to use (including copyrighted images you found online).
- Impersonates another person, pretends to come from someone else, or is designed to deceive the Recipient (for example a fake "confession" as a prank, or a message attributed to a real person who did not send it).
- Reveals private information about someone (address, phone number, health, finances, sexual life) without their consent, or is intended to expose or shame them.
- Promotes violence, self-harm, illegal drugs, weapons, or any illegal activity, or contains extremist content.
- Infringes anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Is used for commercial advertising, spam, scams, phishing, or collecting data from Recipients.
How we enforce this. We do not read Pages routinely. Our AI provider's safety systems may refuse to write text for a request, and we review a Page when it is reported. Moderation decisions are taken by a person (the operator); we do not use automated moderation of hosted content. We may refuse to generate, remove or disable a Page, refuse refunds for Pages removed for violations, and block repeat offenders. When we restrict content, we send the affected Customer a statement of reasons: what was restricted, the facts we relied on, the legal or contractual ground, and how to contest the decision (reply to us at hello@sendawick.com, or go to the courts). If we become aware of information giving rise to a suspicion of a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of a person, we notify the competent authorities.
Voice messages, hidden gifts and songs. The same rules apply to a recorded voice message, to the text and link of a hidden gift and to a song link. A hidden gift must not lead to a phishing, malicious or misleading page, and must not ask the Recipient for money or data. We do not sell or check gifts, vouchers or tickets: the person who made the card is responsible for what they contain and whether they can be redeemed.
Wishes from friends. Lines added through a collect link are subject to the same rules. The person who made the card can hide any line with the private link in their e-mail; anyone can ask us to remove a line by e-mailing the link of the page. Wishes hidden by the Customer are no longer shown and are deleted together with the Page.
Reporting. Anyone can report a Page by e-mailing hello@sendawick.com with the link. A Recipient can always remove the Page about them, no reason needed, with the "Do not show this card again" button at the bottom of the Page; it takes effect immediately. We confirm receipt of every report and tell the person who reported it our decision. We aim to act on e-mailed reports within 48 hours and to remove clearly illegal content faster.
